Chair Barre: Balance and Strength is a gentle, low-impact fitness program designed to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. This class uses small precise movements to tone, lengthen, and strengthen the muscles. Part of the class will be done sitting in a chair, and part will be done standing while using the chair in place of the ballet barre. Throughout the class, you will perform a series of exercises that promote core stability, increase mobility, and enhance coordination.

Whether you are looking to maintain fitness, recover from an injury, or simply enjoy a social activity, Barre: Balance and Strength offers an inclusive and supportive space for all.

Schedule:
•Fridays |10:00 am – 11:00 am
•August 15- September 26 (6-week series)
**No class September 5

Fee:
• $84 for 6 weeks

Location:
• Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St. New Albany, OH)
• Conference Room on the first floor

Virtual Option:
• All registrants will be sent a Zoom link via email prior to the first class. There is no separate registration needed. Registrants may participate either in-person or via Zoom based on their preference/availability.

*About the Instructor:
Marie Stanford has been practicing yoga and barre for 15+ years and has taught yoga since 2016. She is a 200 RYT certified in a variety of yoga modalities, including chair yoga, power yoga, flow yoga, gentle yoga, plus breathing and meditation. Marie completed her barre instructor certification in 2023 and is excited to pass along her love for barre to our community.
