Healthy New Albany is a great place to volunteer and get involved with others who are focused on creating a community culture of health and wellness.

Volunteering can benefit your mental and physical health and contribute to a longer life. Studies show that the act of volunteering combats stress, can boost your mood, increase happiness, and can add a sense of purpose to your life. Volunteering may also help create strong social connections and help lay the foundation of service for children when done as a family.

We have several great opportunities to volunteer with our food pantry, Walking Classic and other races, farmers market, and community garden. Click one of the VolunteerHub links below to sign up!

Some typical volunteer opportunities include:
  • Being a course marshal at any of our races
  • Weeding, cleaning, and fixing items in our community garden
  • Helping with farmers market setup and clean up
  • Helping with our Senior Connections program
  • Helping with our Nourish cooking programs
