Healthy New Albany is a great place to volunteer and get involved with others who are focused on creating a community culture of health and wellness.
Volunteering can benefit your mental and physical health and contribute to a longer life. Studies show that the act of volunteering combats stress, can boost your mood, increase happiness, and can add a sense of purpose to your life. Volunteering may also help create strong social connections and help lay the foundation of service for children when done as a family.
This volunteer movement is replicated in several Healthy New Albany initiatives, including our New Albany Walking Classic and other races, our Farmers Market, our Community Garden, and our New Albany Food Pantry.
