This interactive Community Health Talk explores how sleep naturally changes across the lifespan, and what that means for your health, mood, emotional wellbeing, and daily performance. Learn about circadian rhythms, sleep cycles, and restorative sleep, along with practical, science-backed strategies to fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, follow through on healthy habits, and get your questions answered during an open Q&A.

About the Instructors:
Dr. Rachel Gabelman, PhD: Health Psychologist with OSU Wexner Medical Center, Previously worked as part of a multidisciplinary chronic pain clinic at a rehabilitation hospital and as part of a medial weight loss clinic at the Columbus VA before joining the faculty of Psychiatry & Behaivoral Health in March 2025. Interests include sleep medicine, obesity medicine, healthy lifestyle, and disorders of brain-gut interaction.
Dr. Christopher Wendell, PhD: Health Psychologist with OSU Wexner Medical Center. He is board certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. He completed his postdoctoral training with OSUWMC and joined the faculty of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health in July 2025. Interests include sleep medicine and chronic pain.
