Hands That Heal: CPR Certification

Get certified and be ready to save a life! This American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification Class teaches participants the essential skills needed to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, children, and infants. Participants will learn hands-on CPR techniques, proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and relief of choking in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an AHA CPR/AED certification card valid for 2 years.

What to Expect:
– This is a hands-on skills class. Participants will practice on CPR manikins and AED trainers.
– A skills evaluation and short written assessment are required to receive AHA certification.
– Certification cards (valid 2 years) will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
– No prior medical experience is required — this class is open to all community members.

About the Instructor:

Dr. Leticia N. Parris MBA BSN IHP, is a highly credentialed healthcare professional with expertise in nursing, healthcare practice, and integrated health. With a Doctor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Dr. Parris brings a unique combination of clinical knowledge and professional leadership to every course she teaches.
As a certified American Heart Association (AHA) instructor, Dr. Parris is passionate about empowering community members of all ages with the lifesaving skills they need to act confidently in emergencies. Her approachable teaching style and real-world experience make her classes both informative and engaging for participants at every level.
