The Farmers Market Manager is responsible for overseeing both the planning and day-of operations of the Healthy New Albany Farmers Market. This role ensures smooth execution of summer and winter markets, fosters strong relationships with vendors and community partners, and maintains the high standards of quality and community engagement that define the market.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in event management, vendor relations, or community programming preferred.
- Ability to manage budgets and financial processes.
- Comfortable working outdoors and managing day-of logistics.
- Leadership skills to coordinate volunteers and interns.
- Flexibility to work variable hours depending on the season.

Healthy New Albany is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nature Contractor to lead and facilitate outdoor, nature-based programming for community members of all ages. This role is focused on hands-on delivery of classes and experiences in the local parks and other outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with participants, guiding them through engaging, educational, and inspiring activities that foster a deeper connection to the natural world.
Qualifications
- Experience leading outdoor or nature-based educational programs.
- Outdoor enthusiast
- Experience with STEM programming
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and adults.
- Ability to engage diverse groups in hands-on, interactive activities.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, carrying, and setting up program spaces.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for environmental education and outdoor experiences.
