Grief is a universal experience that follows many types of life transitions, not just the loss of a loved one. In this gentle, one-hour class, Jennifer A. Yurkovich, MS, LPMT, MT-BC invites you into a supportive space where the gentle power of music becomes a way to honor what you’ve lost and begin moving forward with hope.

In this class, you will go through the following exercise:
– Honoring the 4 Tasks of Mourning: Discover how legacy songwriting can help you integrate loss and find renewed meaning.
– A Voice for the Soul: Explore lyric analysis and instrument play to express the complex emotions that often transcend words.
– Finding Your Rhythm: Learn to use music as a grounding tool to navigate the ebbs and flows of your unique journey.

You’ll leave with musical tools that support healing, resilience, and a deeper connection to your own story as you continue your grief journey.

About the Instructor:
Jennifer Yurkovich, MS, LPMT, MT-BC Founder, Jazy Music Therapy

Jennifer Yurkovich is a licensed and board-certified music therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals find healing through music. With over 15 years of experience, Jennifer transitioned from a distinguished career in pediatric hospitals to private practice, bringing her clinical expertise and heartfelt approach directly to the community.
Jennifer’s background is rooted in evidence-based care. She spent nearly a decade at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, specifically in the NICU and Cardiac ICU, where she
supported families through complex medical journeys. Her commitment to the field is further highlighted by her published research in the Journal of Music Therapy.

Today, Jennifer focuses on several specialized areas of care:
• Grief & Bereavement: Providing a gentle space for processing loss, including specialized support for miscarriage and life transitions.
• Senior Wellness & Memory Care: Enhancing quality of life and cognitive connection through “whole brain” musical engagement.
• Early Childhood: Leading interventions that promote developmental milestones and deep caregiver bonding.
