Community Health Talk: Step Into Wellness: Powerful Benefits of Walking

Walking is one of the most accessible, affordable, and effective forms of physical activity, and it’s suitable for all ages. In this engaging session, participants will learn from a local Doctor of Physical Therapy about the full-body benefits of walking, including improved heart health, mental clarity, and reduced risk of chronic illness. After a brief talk, we’ll take a guided group walk and explore simple ways to incorporate more movement into everyday life. Come ready to move, learn, and connect with your community.

• Meeting Room on the 1st Floor
• The parking lot and main entrance are located behind the building

About the Instructor:
Dr. Jack Jander is a performance-based physical therapist and Owner of Vertical PT who’s passionate about helping motivated folks navigate pain and excel in life. Dr. Jack Jander graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in exercise science and kinesiology. He went on to become a certified Crossfit Level 1 coach and spent a few years coaching at Crossfit Veneration. Later, he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mount Union. Dr. Jander’s expertise is in musculoskeletal medicine, strength and conditioning, and injury prevention, which makes him an ideal guide for anybody looking to reduce pain and crush their goals.
