Wellness Through Recreation (9-12)
Wellness Through Recreation is a 6-week program that takes place two times/week after school. Activities include: social games; fun physical activities; group and team challenges; safe, supported discussions; community outings; scavenger hunts; and swimming. Each week will present a new themed topic with a coordinating activity and discussion that will guide teens in learning and implementing skills to keep them healthy and well.
Grades 9-12 Instructor
Heather Glick graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in psychology. She has worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 6 years and has worked in several different areas with all age ranges. She is a dynamic program facilitator who motivates teens by creating a safe environment for participation. She grew up in Gahanna and currently lives in Dublin. In her spare time Heather enjoys taking fitness classes — mostly enjoys spinning, but enjoys most any recreational activity. She also loves spending time walking her dog, dressing him up or taking him to the dog park.
