At Healthy New Albany, we offer a wide variety of classes and community programs that make healthy living approachable and fun. Our programs are organized into four focus areas: Nourish, Movement, Nature, and Knowledge, each designed to help you connect, grow, and thrive.
Nourish
Healthy New Albany’s Nourish programs bring people together through the joy of cooking, eating well, and building lifelong healthy habits.

Youth
Nourish Jr. is our interactive cooking program for kids offering a fun, hands-on introduction to kitchen skills.
Led by experienced instructors in a supportive environment, young cooks gain confidence as they learn to prepare healthy recipes, try new foods, and build a lifelong love of cooking.
Adults
Designed for all skill levels, our hands-on cooking classes offer a practical and engaging approach to healthy eating.
Guided by skilled chefs and nutrition professionals, participants explore fresh ingredients, new cuisines, and everyday techniques in a welcoming, community-oriented space.
Movement
From kids to older adults, Healthy New Albany’s Movement programs are designed to keep our community strong, active, and supported through fun and accessible fitness.

Youth
Active fun for growing strong minds and bodies.
Music Together (0-5 years)
This fun family series of classes includes songs, rhythmic chants, movement, instrument play, and, of course, lots of fun to support early development.
Families receive take-home materials to keep the music going at home.
Lift Like A Girl (Grades 4-10)
This multi-week series is designed to teach girls the fundamentals of strength and conditioning in a safe, supportive, fun environment. Workouts are scaled to meet every girl at her ability level and challenge her appropriately to build skill, capacity and confidence.
Flex and Fuel (Grades 5-7)
A girl’s movement and cooking class all about encouraging self-care, confidence, and healthy habits by blending physical activity with healthy culinary skills.
We’ll explore different movement routines to enhance strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Plus, we’ll learn to prepare nutritious and easy-to-make meals, focusing on how food fuels the body and supports mental clarity.
Adults
Fitness that focuses on lifelong function and vitality.
Chair Yoga
A gentle class using a chair for support in seated and standing poses. Improves flexibility, strength, and relaxation—great for all fitness levels.
Chair Barre
Low-impact movement blending ballet, Pilates, and yoga with a chair for balance. Focuses on core strength, posture, and full-body toning.
Tai Chi
A slow, meditative practice that enhances balance, stability, and flexibility through flowing movements. Accessible and calming for all ages.
Nature
Nature programs at Healthy New Albany encourage families and individuals of all ages to discover, explore, and care for the natural world around us.

Unplug, get muddy, and grow!
Tiny Trailblazers (Toddlers)
Tiny Trailblazers invites toddlers (18 months–4 years) and their caregivers to explore nature through hands-on, sensory-rich activities.
From creeking and nature crafts to guided walks and storytelling, each session sparks creativity, supports development, and encourages joyful outdoor play—all while gently introducing social interaction and nature-based learning.
ReWild Child (Pre-K + Kindergarten)
Rewild Child is an exciting adventure for kids to explore the forest, play freely, and develop a deep love for nature.
Through child-led activities, children boost cognitive skills, motor development, confidence, and physical activity, all while making friends and building resilience. Led by the enthusiastic Nature Program Staff at Healthy New Albany, our program sparks creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for outdoor play.
YUCK! (Grades 1-3)
YUCK! is specifically designed to spark kids’ curiosity and fascination about the intriguing aspects of nature.
We believe that exploring the natural world promotes holistic well-being – physically, mentally, and emotionally – for young learners. Through imaginative presentations, we aim to ignite a thirst for knowledge about our environment. At YUCK!, we celebrate the joy of learning with activities that are lively, explorative, and bursting with creativity.
Adventure Eagles (Grades 4-6)
Adventure Eagles is an exciting program for young citizen scientists, nature enthusiasts, and curious explorers.
Designed to go beyond the classroom, this hands-on experience empowers youth to connect with the natural world, build outdoor skills, and discover their role in caring for the environment. Each adventure deepens their sense of place and sparks a lifelong love for exploration.

Rooted in our mission to cultivate & inspire healthy living, health talks offer expert-led discussions on a variety of wellness topics–ranging from nutrition and mental health to disease prevention and lifestyle habits.
These engaging sessions provide practical knowledge, connect community members, and empower individuals to take charge of their health in meaningful ways.
