Meet Our Interim Co-Executive Directors

Sarah Pariser and Urvi Patel are esteemed colleagues who have worked together co-leading and navigating successful executive leadership transitions. They share in a collective mission to help nonprofit boards and teams create meaningful and amplified impact through stabilizing transitional leadership, articulating and developing a clear strategy, and establishing optimal organizational structures. They believe these to be foundational and vital to helping an organization and importantly, its people, navigate uncertainty to achieve short and long-term goals. 


About Sarah Pariser

Sarah is a strategic consultant, who is a nationally recognized philanthropic leader who brings innovative and strategic thinking to build a new paradigm, with demonstrated success leveraging program design, research, and community investments to activate and engage while driving outcomes. As a behind the scenes influencer for change, Sarah positions organizations for strategic success to serve the community. As a consultant, she navigates collaborative approaches to solve community inequities.

An avid student of understanding leadership and applying it to systems change, Sarah has been trained in the Art of Hosting, the Stanford University d.School’s Designing for Social Systems, and the FEBI Personality & Leadership Instrument. She has her bachelor of arts degree from The College of Charleston.

It is her values in leadership, community, and commitment to create space for diversity, equity and inclusion that has been central in all her work; whether facilitating, shaping national wealth building research strategy, coaching leaders and leadership teams, creating statewide coalitions, or leading COVID-19 relief and response strategies recently featured in the Stanford Social Innovation Review.

Sarah serves on the Power and Promise Campaign Leadership Cabinet for Columbus School for Girls, The Columbus Museum of Art’s Inclusion Diversity Equity and Access Committee, was a founding member of the Columbus Women’s Commission Workplace Equity Committee, teaches in a yoga teacher training program, and is a Columbus Business First 40 under 40 honoree.


About Urvi Patel

Urvi is a highly-respected and authentic professional with a multifaceted background as a transformational leadership coach and experienced communications and business strategist. She helps people and organizations recognize their potential, gain clarity on goals, and build a sustainable plan for influence and impact.  

Prior to launching her own coaching practice and strategy consultancy, her career was marked by a series of accomplishments across private, public, and nonprofit sectors, including leading award-winning communications teams; providing communications and stakeholder engagement counsel to Ambassadors and C-suite executives; and, spearheading community-changing projects.  Urvi has played a pivotal role in securing tens of millions of dollars in public and private support for mission-driven initiatives.

Her nearly 20-year career has honed her passion for and expertise in strategic planning and communications, nonprofit and business operations, branding and public relations, team and project management, budget planning and management, nonprofit advancement, leadership, executive communications, facilitation, and creative thinking and problem-solving.

Urvi holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a master’s degree from The George Washington University. She is also trained in coaching for public speaking, women’s leadership, and equity-centered practices.

She currently serves on the boards of The Columbus College of Art and Design, The Matriots Action Fund, and Helpline’s Thank Goodness I’m Me Initiative.
