DESCRIPTION:Music is fundamental to the human experience and there are a variety of studies which indicate that music can enhance our health. So Healthy New Albany loves including “Music Together®” as part of our community programs\, as it provides another opportunity to cultivate and inspire healthy living in our community. \nThese weekly\, 45-minute mixed-age family classes include songs\, rhythmic chants\, movement\, instrument play\, and of course lots of fun! These activities are presented as informal\, non-performance-oriented musical experiences- developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers\, regardless of their own musical ability. \nEach week\, a trained Music Together teacher leads the class in singing\, dancing\, and playing songs that range from tender lullabies to boisterous jams using child-friendly percussion instruments. Our award-winning music\, illustrated songbook\, and other print and online resources will help you continue the music-making fun at home and nurture your child’s musical growth—even if you don’t think of yourself as a great singer or dancer. Like parenting\, making music requires no previous experience or expertise\, just a willingness to get down on the floor and get silly with your child! \nIncluded in registration: a CD\, an MP3 downloadable version of the song collection\, a Songbook\, a new family music development booklet\, a Music Together growth chart\, access to the Music Together Family Music Zone\, and the free Hello Everybody app! \nAges:\n• 9mn – 6 years-old (accompanied by an adult) \nLocation:\n• Philip Heit Center (150 W.
