Matter of Balance
Lori DeShetler has been practicing as a licensed Physical Therapist for 22 years, the last 15 years with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the Outpatient Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Departments. Lori has 20+ years of clinical experience in the treatment of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, with a focus on injury prevention. Lori became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2008 and has been a Certified Clinical Specialist in Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation, since 1996.
Areas of clinical interest include shoulder and hip rehabilitation as well as Fall Prevention in the treatment of imbalance and dizziness. Lori received a Bachelor of Health Science in 1991 and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1992, both from the University of Miami, Fla. As a student athletic trainer, Lori worked with collegiate athletes (football, basketball, swimming and tennis) with the Univ. of Miami Hurricanes from 1988-1992. Lori has lived in New Albany with her husband, Donny, for the past 15 years. They have 3 boys who attend New Albany schools.
