Cancer Prevention…a Plant-Based Event

Learn how to plan and prepare plant-based meals using nutrient rich fruits, vegetables and grains. This 6-week class will focus on knife and culinary skills to prepare a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and grains, which will give participants the confidence to plan, shop for and prepare healthful and delicious meals.

James Warner is employed at the the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University as Program Director, Food and Nutrition in the Nutrition Services Department. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in hotels and restaurants throughout the country. Jim also has been a private chef for a number of local business leaders and professional athletes and continues to hone his culinary skills through demonstrations across the state.

His primary responsibilities include integrating food and nutrition education throughout the medical complex as well as engaging with various community initiatives with food and nutrition programming. His responsibilities also include retail food production, menu development, retail operations, renovations and development of offsite retail business opportunities.
